2, 2010 - Update to web site - March activities
We're
pleased to announce that our new president, Susan Ballangee has been
working hard to add information to the web site. We now have info
on who we are and what we do, as well as basic information about the
Jaycees organization. We will continue to update, adding more info
as soon as possible.
This
month we're holding an Easter Egg Hunt. Check the Our
Projects page for more information.

9, 2009 - Springfest Success, New Videos
We're
all still recovering from Springfest '09, but wanted to take a minute
to file a short report and tell you about two new videos. While the
final totals are not in yet, we do know that we did very well, especially
considering the economy of late. The Foodstock Days concerts were
very well received, and we'd like to thank all of the bands - Steve
Rodman & Friends, Doc Ashton & the Root Canals, Big Creek
Guitar Band, Cowboy Bob, Lane Baldwin & Deeper Blues, and Tons
o' Fun - for their hard work. Here's hoping you'll all be back next
year.
We
have added two new videos to our web site. Many thanks to Lane Baldwin
for finding time to videotape over the weekend, and for putting these
videos together so quickly. Check out the Springfest
page and watch an elephant ear being made, and see an overview
of the weekend.

We just
uploaded a video we shot this morning on D-102's Tom B's Big Show.
Illinois Jaycees Senator Monty Schroeder and Foodstock's Lane Baldwin
have been appearing on the show all week to promote Springfest and
Foodstock Days. Today, Andy Harby took a pie in the face for the team!

26, 2009 - Springfest to Open a Day Early
That's
right. Springfest '09 will now open Tuesday, June 2nd! That's an extra
night of rides, fun, food and games! Tuesday night will be a Bracelet
night -- buy a bracelet and ride for free from 6-10:30 p.m. Mark your
calendars and join us Tuesday, June 2nd, for our opening night!

8, 2009 - New Springfest information added
Springfest
'09 is less than a month away! Check out our Springfest
page for new information, including the events schedule, and to
view pictures of last year's festival. And don't forget to bring non-perishable
food or cash donations throughout the weekend to help us support the
Danville Area Food Pantry. This drive is produced by Danville Foodstock
and the Danville Jaycees, so you know that every penny and every pea
you contribute goes directly to the food pantry.

29, 2009 - Welcome to our new web site
Greetings,
and welcome to our new site! There's not much here at the moment,
but that will change soon. We will be adding information as quickly
as we can, and look forward to settling into our new home on the web.
Make
sure to mark your calendars for Springfest '09, Wednesday, June 3,
through Sunday, June 7. Join us on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for
Foodstock Weekend as we collect food and monetary donations for Danville
Foodstock and the Danville Area Food Pantry. In addition to the rides,
games, food and fun, we'll be offering live music throughout the weekend.
